A coordinated search.

WGEM reported that the man had become separated from a relative while trying to reach a campsite near Spring Island Campground the previous evening.

We assisted alongside Hamilton Police, Warsaw Fire, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Hancock County EMS, dispatch personnel and Keokuk Fire.

Recognizing the rescue.

A Hamilton police officer searching by kayak located the man partially submerged in floodwater. Police brought him back to land, where Hancock County EMS treated him. We contributed search assistance as part of the coordinated response.
